The Slow Beauty movement describes a fast growing sub-culture of beauty therapists who have lost faith in the ‘quick-fix’, often invasive products and procedures that abound in the beauty industry and are drawn to a holistic approach to skincare with a focus on dermo-nutrition, wellness and genuine skin health from the inside out.
The Slow Beauty movement is following a similar trajectory to the Slow Food movement and reflects a similar shift in values away from short-term convenience towards slower, deeper and truer ideals.
The tides of change are well underway and there is now a new generation of beauty therapists leading the way in holistic, ‘slow’ beauty.

Le Papillon Slow Beauty Facials provide an intensive boost for your skin using the  botanical Janesce skincare range. Using powerful, organic plant extracts, Janesce facials are anti-ageing, hydrating and nourishing for skin.

Therapeutic skin massage, warm compresses and fragrant botanical oils make these sensory facials a beautiful treat for the soul as well as the skin.

What can I expect?

When you come for a Facial treatment at Le Papillon Skin & Day Spa you will be welcomed at the reception and if it is your first time you have come here you will be asked some details about yourself. After, you will be brought into the treatment room.

During the treatment you will get to relax in the reclined bed provided with soothing music in the back ground, I will then ask some information about your skin care regime and other treatments you might have had prior to this appointment. During the massage and mask, I will avoid talking to you so you can enjoy the sensory journey you will be taken on, and to unwind and relax.

Skin Soaking Ritual:

MORNING ROUTINE:


No cleansing is necessary in the morning.

Soak
Immerse Janesce Soaking Cloth in warm water infused with two to three Janesce Soaking Drops, wring out and press to skin for five deep breaths. Repeat three times.


Mist

Hold the mist bottle 30 cms away from face and pump two to three sprays of mist directly to face and neck area.

Moisturise

Apply a small amount of face moisturiser onto fingertips and massage into damp skin.

EVENING ROUTINE:


Cleanse 

Massage a small amount of cleanser into damp skin. Gently remove with a warm, damp cloth.

Soak

Immerse Janesce Soaking Cloth in warm water infused with two to three Janesce Soaking Drops, wring out and press to skin for five deep breaths. Repeat three times.

Hold the mist bottle 30 cms away from face and pump two to three sprays of mist directly to face and neck area.

Moisturise

Apply a small amount of face moisturiser onto fingertips and massage into damp skin.

SKIN BENEFITS OF THE SKIN SOAKING RITUAL

Skin soaking really is foundational to a beautiful skincare regime. If you soak your skin twice daily for 30 days, optimum hydration in the skin can result in the following benefits:
